JOB DESCRIPTION

-Delivering quality service to customers via efficient and accurate processing while projecting a professional and warm image in all interpersonal dealings.
-Ensuring that there is water tight cash controls in place at all times.
-Ensuring that Branch System Uptime is maintained and system admin functions.


KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

-Observations of queue time and length and taking action as needed to capacities serving counters and/or managing customer traffic.
-Ensure that branch premises and banking hall are maintained to the specific standard.
-Manage or recommend workflow changes for greater efficiency.
-Resolving investigations and enquiries initiated by customer enquiry to the specified standard.
-ATM custodian
-Ensure ATM account is reconciled and outstanding items fully explained
-Key custodianship responsibilities
-Management of vault cash holding
-Dual vault custodianship
-Process all outward clearing cheques and ensure the clearing account is reconciled and zerorised daily.
-Payments are made in accordance with customer mandates and call back for qualifying transactions.
-Safe custody of outward clearing cheques
-Maintaining proper records of outward/inward returned cheques
-Prepare outward caution notices and ensure proper record of inward caution notices
-Validation of teller transactions
-Ensure branch system link is up and running at all times
-Ensure all systems updates are carried out in due time.
-Effective back up to Branch Operations Manager


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

-B.Sc University Degree (2:2 Minimum)
-Good Aptitude
-Good analytical skills
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
-In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A

KANO AREA
THIS AREA COVERS KANO, KATSINA, ZAMFARA, SOKOTO AND KEBBI STATES.

*ZONE F:
MAIDUGURI AREA
THIS AREA COVERS BORNO, YOBE, GOMBE, JIGAWA, BAUCHI AND ADAMAWA STATES.



2. EXAMPLE: To work in Owerri zone, you must currently reside in any of the states under Owerri. It will be of no benefit for you to currently reside in Imo and wish to work in Akure. We already have a zonal arrangement and we intend to make life easy for you.

EXEMPTION:
The only exemption to the rule above is when you intend to work at the headquarters located in Lagos. In such situation, all you need to do is to mark at the top left corner of your application for the attention of headquarters i.e. H/Q

COMPULSORY:
All candidates must comply with the followings:
A. Submission of a detailed handwritten application with resume including photocopies of credentials and two passport photographs
B. Compulsory reading of the book titled “loyalty rules” by Frederick F. Reichheld
C. Only candidates that pass examination based on the understanding of the book will be employed

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

A. All former staff of national mirror newspapers who intend to return should please apply as appropriate for any desired position and such application should be marked in red ink with ref: refstaff/01/09
B. Former staff of mirror must also comply with the reading of the book and pass appropriate examination in other to regain their job
C. All applications received from former staff will be treated specially
